Assignment 3 steps

The first step towards the making of my work is finding a good image that can replace the guitar. For me i prefer the drum rather than the guitar because i can play well on the drum. I chose this image to replace the guitar image.

Then I placed the image into Illustrator and use the Live Trace and also use the expand tool. After I used 3 rectangle tool to make the background. I chose to make in 3 colors because of the theme. The Theme Is rock, every color has its meaning. As for black, it is the soul of the rock itself. I also used grey color because grey is the color of sentimental of rock. The final color I used was orange. Since it was a birthday event orange is the exact color to use, Orange is know for its cheerfulness. As you can see every birthday needs a cheerful thing going on.Then I used the Pen and arc tool To create an abstract. As you can see the abstract looks more towards an impact. Since i chose drum as my instrument, The impact describes the sound coming from the drum.
For the Final Touch I Joined Everything together and also use the type tool to type " Have A rocking Birthday". I also used the blur effect to my drum to make a realistic effect. This is My final Work.

Assignment 3 brief

I have chosen this layout for my assignment 3 project. Birthday is all about joyfulness. For me I chose this layout because i love music. As you can see the layout shows a rock style birthday.

Steps

First i used the pen tool and brush tool to outline my tree. I also used the start tool to make a star a the top of the tree. Then I colored the tree and star. After that i used the Type Tool to put the dates. The I use the rectangle tool to make the border of this work so that i can use Live Paint Bucket. After making the border I filled in the background color and also I change the font color to white. Then I made lines using pen tools. After that i use gradient tool to give life to my tree. I also add snow to the background. For the finishing touch I made my snow and my lines blurry so that it gives a more impact image to the calender.

Assignment 2 - Making a Calender

My theme for this calender is " Christmas brings Joyfulness ". While making a theme like that, i wondered how to make the image/design more cheerful. Then I thought about Christmas presents. As you know, Christmas presents are usually put under a pine tree ( Christmas tree ). What is Christmas without a Christmas tree. So i thought making a Christmas tree as the main object. I used red as a symbol of Christmas because it is known as a universal color. I also used the white color as a symbol of pureness. As you can see i only use 2 colors which is red and white.

Assign 2 Brief

I have chosen Christmas as a Holiday. For the theme, Christmas is all about joyfulness. Christmas is joyful because it brings people together, also brings children joyfulness when they receive presents from relatives or close friends. I have chosen this as my pattern for the calender.
